Shipments

Yesterday, I received a new order of checks from WellsFargo (who uses those anymore?!) and six books from Amazon.

I'm hoping to have some downtime in the next couple months to really sit down and crack these bad boys open. They all came very highly recommended.

New freelance project with Exit 36 for their website as well as a potential flyer for their Puma x Yo! MTV Raps release. Still in the air, but I'm hoping to squeeze it in with everything else that's come up.

Pasta Pomodoro, Sunnyvale

After shafting Ivan for quite a few months and putting off lunchs/dinners, we finally broke bread Friday night at Pasta Pomodoro in Sunnyvale. It was a beautiful late afternoon with clean scenery and decent food.

bo(RING)

This last week has been so boring. All I've done is work out, go to class, take pictures with the 20d and edit pictures, lol.

Adit and I haven't talked for over a month, so I brought the fool some lunch last week and we caught up on life. Nice little reunion between family :)

I don't even celebrate the 4th of July (whoohoo, Canadia!) but I still have to deal with everything being effing closed. Sigh. Mike& I had our froyo plans foiled, so we crashed a nearby 7/11 instead...

Day 5

A little under 3 hours ago, I finished my weeklong liquid fast. It was a ridiculously eye-opening experience that I'll definitely be doing again sometime in the future. I'm hoping to continue this cleansing process at least once a month, but we'll see what happens, I guess. Thanks to Jeff Staple for putting me up to this and forcing me out of a daily routine of carbs and protein, lol.

Day 3, Day 4

(More than) halfway through!
I concocted a smoothie this morning consisting of peaches, bananas and strawberry yogurt. Surprisingly delicious!
Yesterday at about 10pm, I felt ridiculously hungry, so I went and made some soup. It was actually pretty fulfilling and left me quite satisfied. Since the soup didn't have any solids, I made the same thing for tonight's dinner, lol. The days have been getting easier and while I still have cravings to eat random foods, it's not as hard to surpress anymore. The worst times are after my afternoon workouts (around 6 or 7) when I feel absolutely famished and a cup of superfood really doesn't feel enough.

Day 2

Day 2 of the liquid fast wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Same breakfast, same lunch, but I definitely had a couple more bottles of water than I did on day 1. Went to Asato's going away party and the plethora of junk food there definitely pushed my buttons, haha. I was starving by around 10:30 but after watching Rob& Big and Diana's, I headed home and just crashed. Nothing exciting, just bitches and booze.

liquid fast - day 1

So, Jeff Staple somehow convinced me to try a liquid fast for 5 days. I was kinda apprehensive about starting because I've been training roughly 3-4 hours a day for basketball, but after getting the 'okay' from Darrin, I went for it.
Originally, I had planned to do a fruit/liquid fast, so breakfast consisted of vanilla yogurt, freshly cut peaches and bananas.

Lunch was Odwalla Superfood, weirdest tasting thing, ever.

For dinner, I had an Odwalla super protein shake type thing and a glass of Odwalla OJ. The shake was absolutely disgusting, haha.

My lack of hunger really surprised me. I don't need to eat anything, but I have this huge desire to consume everything in sight. It's a nagging feeling that's been bugging me all friggen day. I'm also incredibly exhausted. I'm not sure if it's from the workouts or not eating solid foods, but I just want to sleeeeeep!

LMU Orientation

This weekend, my parents and I went to Loyola Marymount University for orientation. In hindsight, I had a great time but while I was there, it was pretty shitty.
My group (communications majors) were your stereotypical white girls who toted LV purses that, most likely, cost more than tuition with spray-on tans and perfectly highlighted hair. They weren't really my cup of tea, but I guess it's also my bad for not sampling new tea. Definitely the first time in about, 7 years I've truly felt out of place (my Tokidoki purse, AM90s and Evisu jeans, haha) but I have no doubts things will work out great as soon as school starts.

My piece-of-shit Kyocera finally broke, so I went to pick up some new hardware this weekend:

My first Blackberry! Although it's no comparison to the iPhone, my parents weren't willing to switch to Cingular, so I had to suck it up and deal. Compared to anything I've had in the past, this thing is amazinggggg. I can't wait to get it synced with my computer!

Senior Picnic

To finish off every year, PTSA (parent teacher student association) puts together a huge trip for all seniors to the beach. It sucked to see some 'best friends' turn their backs on you but, what is there to do, right? Still a fun and exhausting experience :)

Tiffany& Co

In the midst of me running around frantically getting ready for Baccalaureate Night, my mom pops her head into the bathroom and says, "Dad bought you this. Would you like to wear it?" and then proceeds to bust out every girl's dream: a teal Tiffany& Co. bag. Needless to say, I was pretty stoked off my rocker!
